Dear all,
Thanks for using #Meeep BNCs for the past year, business has been good and the bouncer uptime has been great, I couldn't have wanted more in the first year of bouncer hosting.
I have taken the desicion to move all #Meeep Bncs over to #ProBNC.
You do not have to worry as this will not effect your bouncer in anyway, nor have I sold #Meeep BNCs, I have just changed over to a new business name and all other services are un-affected.
You will start to notice that your Vhosts will change to ProBNC ones if and when they get disconnected from quakenet, they are all witty and are still amusing so there's no need to worry.
The IRC channel will also change over to #ProBNC, so feel free to pop by and say hello.
Please take a look at the new website: ProBNC Website Please note that the web login panel has also moved: Web Login Panel
Hope you all had a good Christmas and have a wonderful 2010.
Regards. |

ProBNCs are designed for maximum uptime and stability.
After renting BNCs for years and the performance and service slowly disappearing, i decided to do something about it - Hence #ProBNC.
Bnc's are irc bouncers hosted on a remote linux server. The purpose of a bnc is to change your hostmask or ip assigned by your internet Service Provider. On some networks a BNC will also hold your nickname, where nickserv is not used.
This can prevent many ip based attacks directed at your ip by hackers this can be any form of security hole found by scanning your ip or hostmasking
Connecting to a bnc uses the hostmask of the linux server known as a virtual host or vhosts.
We keep a wide range of V-hosts for all our bnc users to use. |
