ProBNCs are designed for maximum uptime and stability.

After renting BNCs for years and the performance and service slowly disappearing, i decided to do something about it - Hence #ProBNC.

Bnc's are irc bouncers hosted on a remote linux server.
The purpose of a bnc is to change your hostmask or ip assigned by your internet Service Provider. On some networks a BNC will also hold your nickname, where nickserv is not used.

This can prevent many ip based attacks directed at your ip by hackers this can be any form of security hole found by scanning your ip or hostmasking

Connecting to a bnc uses the hostmask of the linux server known as a virtual host or vhosts.

We keep a wide range of V-hosts for all our bnc users to use.
